David Crouzet – Tennis Director

David Crouzet came to Belvedere Tennis cub from Mystic Indoor Tennis where he was a Tennis Professional.
David is a native of France who came to the United States during his college years. He graduated from the University of Evansville in Indiana with a Bachelor of Science is business administration. While at the University he player in the Missoury Valley Conference. David also holds a Certificate of Academic Excellence in Recreation Leadership and Tennis Teaching from Tyler Junior College in Texas.

David is certified as a USTA High Performance coach and USPTA P-1.

His tennis experience has brought him a number 1 ranking in the 2000 New England Men’s open doubles, a number 2 ranking in the NJCAA 2000 men’s national doubles, and a number 30 ranking in the NJCAA 2000 men’s national singles.

Awards he has received include: the NJCAA academic All American in the sport of tennis for the year 1999-2000; 2000 Men’s ITA All-American team in 2000; and first team position on the men’s all-American Division II Tennis Team of the NJCAA for the year 1999-2000.

Mike Howard – Head Professional

Mike Howard is a member of the famed Howard Tennis family in San Francisco and Golden Gate Park. Mike played Number 1 singles and doubles at USF and played several years on the ATP tour, achieving wins over Brad Gilbert, Tim Mayotte, John Fitzgerald and Scott Davis. Mike is a USPTA certified professional and has coached top junior & pro players for 15 years.

Cary Stansbury – Tennis Professional Emeritus

Cary Stansbury started playing junior tennis at BTC in 1968. Trained by his father, Cary was ranked Number 1 in Northern California for boys’ 14s, 16s and 18s. An All-American and Number 1 singles player at UC Berkeley, Cary played on the Pro Tour for 8 years, notching wins over Jim Courier, Paul Annacone, Scott Davis and Miloslav Mecir.

Cary was the Director of Tennis at Belvedere for twenty-two years and coached numerous top junior, adult, and professional players. His lifelong experience as a competitor has given him a broad background as a coach and a teacher.
